This St. Mark Medallion is Solid 925 Sterling Silver and Oxidized Finished to Highlight the Details. It has the depiction of St. Mark on the front and embossed with the words 'pray for us' at the back. NO CHAIN INCLUDED. Mark is believed by various traditions to be the first bishop of Alexandria and thus the founder of the Church in Alexandria and of Christianity in Africa. In Coptic tradition he is identified as the first Pope of the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria. His evangelistic symbol is the lion.
